The first show of the 2009 season will be held at Myerscough
College, on Good Friday, 10th April, 2009.
The new Schedule is being prepared and will be issued as soon
as it is received from the Printers. Meanwhile all classes are
to be found elsewhere on this site. Schedules
The Special Dates page will be updated and complete shortly.
We
welcome several new members to the Committee together with two
junior members who are very willing to help setting up the show
(Shannon Bury) and on the day, her sister.
There are several changes to the classes for this season, and
the committee hopes that members and visitors will find a class
to suit their horse/pony. We are introducing a Sports Horse
class and several showing classes with a wider range. Some classes
have been amalgamated, so will competitors please read their
Schedule carefully? There are also a very wide range of
qualifiers for championships, which will include Ponies UK,
BSPS, BSPA, CHAPS,VHS, Royal London, Equifest, UK Chasers for
Dressage and Ribble Valley will also be sending competitors
to the Festival of Champions this year, at the new Aintree Equestrian
arena. Please, members, be aware of your position in the Points
League and let a committee member know if you are interested
in going forward should you be points winner in any class. Many
of the entries can be made after the August Show excpet in cases
where there is not a clear leader. A decision was made NOT to
enter UK Showing Championships this year as this show has simply
opened up its classes to anyone wishing to enter, so there is
absolutely no point in holding any qualifying classes.
There
will be no Novelty classes or Handy Pony at the first Show on
Good Friday. Full Schedule will be issued soon for this day.
