27Novice Equitation – 14 yrs and under – Rider must NOT have won a first place in any Equitation class before 1st January of the current year.

Ring 3 Beginners

This ring is aimed at beginners and children. Hard hats and long sleeved clothing are to be worn by every competitor. Horses/ponies to be snaffle mouthed. Parental assistance is allowed and these classes will be judged in a manner that allows competitors to learn whilst competing. Please enter these classes in the spirit in which they are intended.

** The judge shall use discretion not to place non-beginners **

32Best Manners Child and Pony – Open to children 4 to 12 yrs to include lead rein, ridden and in hand, will be judged on the child’s and pony’s manners.
33Absolute Beginners Ridden Showing – Open to horses or ponies – Riders any age, but must be suitable height and weight for their pony. Open to Lead Rein Riders. Correct standard Hat, Boots and Jodhpurs must be worn; jackets not necessary but rider’s arms must be covered. Cantering optional. Parental supervision required.
