Trophies won at the September Show 2007, MUST be returned to
a committee member by the July Show or 10th August 2008, at
the latest. A penalty of £5 plus the cost of extra telephone
calls and postage will be levied on ALL late returns.

In
all classes subject to age limits, age is counted as at 1st
January 2008.

Riders
must wear correctly fitted headgear to PAS015/ENS1384, whilst
mounted anywhere on the showground. Junior members are also
compelled to wear them when competing in In-hand or Novelty
classes.

Stallions
and colts may not be ridden or led by juniors who have not attained
their 14th birthday before 1st January 2008. They may NOT be
entered in the Young Handler, Lead Rein, First Ridden, M & M
LR. or FR or any Show Pony Class. Any animal not kept sufficiently
under control will be asked to leave the showground immediately
by any Judge, Steward or Official of the Club. Stallion owners
are reminded that it is forbidden to run out their exhibit along
the horse-box lines.
- Cantering
on the showground is not permitted, except in Rings and official
working-in areas.

The Judge's decision is final and binding in all cases. Any queries
are to be addressed to an Official of the Club.

Objections are to be submitted in writing to the Chairman or Show
Secretary within 20 minutes of the end of a class and accompanied
by £10, which will be returned if the complaint is upheld.

Entry fees cannot be refunded except in genuine cases of injury
to the rider/horse/handler.

Spurs or whips are NOT allowed in Handy Pony/Horse.

Equitation classes are to be ridden in snaffle bridles only. No
spurs allowed.

Whips are not to exceed 30 inches in length except in Dressage
Tests.

Spurs are not permitted to junior riders in any class.

Novice classes may not be entered by competitors who have won
an open or novice class in that discipline prior to January of
the current season.

Competitors in BSPS/PUK/CHAPS/NPS/FPS/NCPA/BHS/BSH,C&RHA Qualifying
classes must abide by the rules of those associations as well
as those of the club.

Members must present their horse in the Ring to obtain attendance
points.

Ribble Valley Riding Club has no towing facilities on the ground
and therefore competitors are reminded that in wet weather conditions
vehicles will NOT be permitted to cross the river.

Competitors are reminded that it is unethical to show under a
judge with a vested interest in their animal.
- It
is forbidden to ride any horse/pony which is under 4 years old
on the Showground.
- Competitors
MUST be 4 years old and over to ride a pony on this Showground.
